My Token Chart helps your kiddos develop better skills such as:

-Daily routines 

-Helping habits

-Self accountability

-Delayed gratification

-A sense of pride for earning things and maintaining their space

How it works:

1. Each poster has a section for a morning and evening routine, how to earn extra tokens, how to lose tokens and the rewards your kiddo can earn at 10, 20 or 30 tokens

2. Call a family meeting to discuss what will be included in each section.  This way your kids can have a say in things they think would benefit the household as well as things they want to try to do better on.   They also can work with you to choose appropriate prizes for each tier. This helps the family set expectations together so there are no surprises and everyone can know what to expect.  

3. When your child completes a routine or does a behavior that earns extra tokens, they get to put a token in their jar.  Rewarding the positive behaviors you are seeing (even ones that are not on the chart), reinforce those behaviors and ensure you will continue to see them! They are always earning tokens towards either their 10, 20 or 30 token prize.  This helps them develop the beginning skills of managing money and delayed gratification.  

4. When you see a behavior that loses tokens, you ask your kid to go and remove a token from their jar.   If they refuse, you calmly remind then to go remove a token or you will remove a token. However, if you have to take out a token, you will remove all of them and they will have to start over.
